The Race for Championship Weekend Continues...As the end of February nears, the NECHL heats up with playoffs berths on the horizon. As it looks right now, four teams have secured playoff tickets with just two spots remaining.
Rutgers, Cornell, Binghamton and Oswego have assured themselves post-season life, although seeding is still up in the air. Cortland, Penn State, St. Bonaventure and Ithaca are vying for the last two spots.
"It’s very exciting', explained NECHL Commissioner Andy Gojdycz.”This is the first year that the last two playoff seeds can be won by 4 different teams. It just shows the competitiveness of all of our teams and how we have grown as a league.”
The post-season NECHL Championship Weekend will be held at BodyZone in Wyomissing, PA, home of Penn State Berks. Please see the schedule below.
