Syracuse hockey player perishes in car accident on route to school
NECHL Commissioner Andy Gojdycz was just given the horrific news that Syracuse goaltender Richard Carlston was killed in a car accident in upstate NY in route to Syracuse from Rochester on the NY State Thruway.
"From all of the teams in the NECHL, their families, student body and from the NECHL office, we send our deepest condolences to the Syracuse team, Coach Renna and to the Carlston family on this tragic episode", explained Commissioner Gojdycz. "Our deepest sympathies and prayers remain with Richard's family and friends."
